Devlog #2 (FINAL)


Hi all!

So this is the devlog i will submit to the Gamejam. It's not totally complite but i will update to the final versiob before the jam ends.

Before i write down the updates i made to the game, i will wirte a bit about the project.

Fridge Goblin is a 2d platformer with elements focused on speedrunning.  As the player you can take multiple routes on the level, depending you want more score or want to finish the level fast or find a balance between.

So next i will write down the development that happened in the past few days:

  • Bacon platform now brakes after a certain time
  • The tutorial system now look a little bit better
  •   Number of level is now 7 (soon will be 25 in the next days)
  • Updates in the platforms graphic
  • Now track runtime properly
  • Made an end screen
  • Added music and sfx
  • Background scrolling
  • Some minor animations

UPDATED!

So after considered the mechanics of the game, i decided it only needs 10 levels. There nothing much more in these mechanics, any more levels would be just a drag to play. 

I'm mostly happy how the game turned out, considering this is my first published project. So feel free to give some feedback and enjoy the game! :D
